This beautiful, low-level hybrid plant turns from lush, juicy green to a blush red, then purple as the season progresses. It produces dainty, white flowers in spring, before turning to blush. It likes a warm climate, will not tolerate frosts, and prefers bright, unfettered sunlight. It is perfect in rockeries, with other succulents, and will spread as it grows.

Growing up to 20cm tall, Debbie s a darker hue, ranging from pale green tinged with lilac through to dark eggplant as the season progresses. Both these succulents are animal- friendly and non-toxic.

4) Pachyveria Powder Puff

A derivative of the echeveria species, Powder Puff grows tall for a succulent with upright facing pointy green leaves, tipped with purple. It grows up to 15cm tall, and its flowers, producing a single, multi-flowered, gently curving stamen, in delightful shades of pink and deep purple. Also known as ‘Hen and Chicks’ or “Houseleek,’ this succulent has red and purple leaves, around a deep, dark central core. This succulent grows to around 20cm tall and produces a brace of pretty pink flowers.

Also known as ‘Purple Spiderwort,’ this succulent, unlike others, is trailing in nature. It has elongated leaves, which are almost black. It produces bright pink flowers during the summer, making it an exciting and attractive addition to your garden.
