Echinopsis Spachiana is best known to be a beautiful cacti. As the plant matures you can expect it to reach up to around 2m tall and about 6 cm (2.4″). When looking at the plant you will notice that it is strong green and has around 12 to 15 ribs. These ribs are covered by eight to ten radial spines. When it flowers you can expect white flowers from June to July during night.

Echinopsis Spachiana succulents need strong light. When planting this succulent type in a garden, make sure it gets sunlight. Full to partial sun is the best for its growth. It is better to grow outdoor rather than indoor.
This type of succulent prefers a warm climate. It can survive at zone 9a-11b which is around -6.7°C (20°F). If you live in a cold area, it is better to plant Golden Torch in an indoor environment. As long as it gets enough sunlight, the plant will grow happily.

You can cut off the head of the succulent using clean scissors. Leave a few inches to the base to stay on the safe side. There should be enough stem on the cutting. Before replanting, wait for a few days so cutting and the base can dry. When the cutting is calloused, replant it. Don’t forget to water when the soil dries out.
How to Propagate Echinopsis Spachiana From Offsets
The cacti propagates from offsets. To be able to propagate from the mother plant, you might wait several years for the main plant to produce an offset. To start this process, use a sharp knife and remove an offset from the main plant. When you remove the offset, clean the extra soil from it.
