Dasylirion Wheeleri is also commonly known as the Sotol Plant. As the plant matures you can expect it to reach up to around 1.8 m (6ft). The plants leaves are long almost sword like in appearance and able to reach around 90 cm (36″). When the plant flowers expect white flowers if the plant is a male version of the plant and pink when it is a female version.

Dasylirion Wheeleri succulents need strong light. When planting this succulent type in a garden, make sure it gets sunlight. Full to partial sun is the best for its growth. It is better to grow outdoor rather than indoor.
This type of succulent prefers a warm climate. It can survive at zone 9a-11b which is around -6.7 °C (20 °F). If you live in a cold area, it is better to plant Sotol Plant in an indoor environment. As long as it gets enough sunlight, the plant will grow happily.

Sotol Plant is native to Northern Mexico (around Sonora and Chihuahua) and the southwestern United States (around the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, Texas and New Mexico.
