Cotyledon Papillaris is known to be a beautiful but small succulent that is able to reach 10 cm (4″) tall. With time one of the first thing you will notice about the plant is how it slowly branches out to the sides. If looking at the plant you will also first notice the beautiful green coloured leaves that often have red to yellow edges as best shown by the image of the plant. When the plant flowers it is known to produce bell-shaped orange flowers from late spring to summer.

This type of succulent prefers a warm climate. It can survive at zone 9a-11b which is around -6.7°C (20°F). If you live in a cold area, it is better to plant in an indoor environment. As long as it gets enough sunlight, the plant will grow happily.
