Cleistocactus Strausii is also commonly known as the ‘Silver Torch Cactus’. As the plant matures you can expect it to reach up to around 3 m (10ft) and about 6 cm (2.5″) in diameter. The cactus has 25 ribs are covered with areoles the tall have spines coming from them. When it flowers it is deep red to burgundy red.
