Astrophytum Ornatum is commonly known as the ‘Star Plant’. As the plant matures you can expect it to reach up to around 2.2 m (26″) tall and about 30 cm (12″) in with. The cacti main feature are the beautiful long stems that grow from the aureoles that are placed on the ribs of the plant. When it flowers you can expect white flowers.

This type of succulent prefers a warm climate. It can survive at zone 9a-11b which is around -6.7 °C (20 °F). If you live in a cold area, it is better to plant Star Plant in an indoor environment. As long as it gets enough sunlight, the plant will grow happily.
