The Adromischus Cristatus, also known as ‘Crinkle-Leaf Plant’ is a small plant shaped like a triangle. A plant that grows slowly with leaves covered with little hairs. When the flowers bloom they open up to 20 cm (8 Inches) stem, tubular, green, tipped with pale red color. Crinkle-Leaf Plants are great for beginner gardeners. It is easiest to grow either at home or in your office.

Adromischus Cristatus needs most water during Spring/autumn season. The plant can handle cold weather but should be kept away from frost.

Where to Plant

It is best to keep the plant indoors, but it is possible to grow outdoor as well. For people who want to grow Adromischus Cristatus outdoor keep the plant in a special succulent container. Doing so will make it easier for transport between indoor and outdoor. Move the plant inside if it becomes colder than -6°C (20° F), keep the plant close to window ledge if inside.

If growing the Crinkle-Leaf Plant outside, it should be on the spot in the garden where the sun shines a minimum 6 hours a day. When the plants are grown indoors, it should be located on a window ledge with plenty of sun.

How to Propagate Adromischus Cristatus ‘Crinkle-Leaf Plant’

The Adromischus Cristatus propagates best with a single leaf, and place the leaf deep enough just to touch the compost. If adequately grown, each leaf can develop a large specimen if grown with care. When the leaves don’t fall off on their own use a sharp knife to detach the leaf. Adromischus Cristatus ‘Crinkle-Leaf Plant’ can also be grown from seeds, it is harder and better for more experienced gardeners.

Seeds

Growing Crinkle-Leaf Plant from seeds is not for beginners, there are several things that you need to keep in mind. The temperature needs to be warm enough so that the seed can grow easier, proper light and heat. Place the seed in a quality well-draining soil, in a pot with a drainage hole. Remeber to water regularly, don’t let the plant become dry.

Leaves
